IT IS FINISHED MEANS FINISHED

John 19:30 — “When Jesus had received the wine, he said, ‘It is finished.’”

Religion always wants one more thing from you: another improvement, another promise, another proof that you deserve to be forgiven. But Christ does not say, “I have done my part; now do yours.” He says, “It is finished” and your salvation rests in his completed work, not your unfinished life. Today, you may go about the work that needs doing without making it the price of God’s love.
